Lich+Avalon game connection

Having trouble getting into the game after installing Lich. Using Avalon. macOS Catalina. It loads Avalon, but it has trouble connecting. I get this message: "I have lost the connection to the Simutronics server due to "Socket: Recv failed: Connection reset by peer". Please check your network connection. If this problem persists, please contact your ISP or file a bug report in the Help menu."

Any ideas?

have you contacted doug? he knows the most about lich on mac. he helped me install, but on on mojave still
