If your scripting (afk or not) the GM's are ALWAYS GOING TO CHECK! Get used to it.

From what Khaladon said, it looks like they've got you targetted as an AFK scripter, Mini-Spir. Whether it's true, or not, they're going to be watching you. If you've made enemies, others may be following you (visible or not) looking for an opportunity to Report you. I'm afraid this is going to continue to happen and there's little you can do about it.

How do you know? I was being watched with a character of mine till day 1 until I sold that said character.

Just after, I did the same pattern, scripted until X level. No watching whatsoever.

It's just something random, sometimes they have nothing to do and must justify their salary by some forced actions and watching scripters seems to be one of those.

Speaking from experience, if you do AFK script and have a good enough script that beats them once or twice, they hold a grudge. They will catch you.

But that was over a year ago... I guess things might change...

Move to Vaalor and hunt the bog. No one hunts there anyway to report you.

I am pretty sure Khaladon and the other GM's knows how to do their job. Plat or Prime does not make a difference to them. Afk scripting against policy.

Actually, last I heard Khaladon is not in charge of plat anymore. He is taking over for Tigermist for Premie GM. So, I don't think he'll be spending much time in plat looking for scripters.

Nobody follows me around and reports me. I hunt with area affecting spells and they would be dead. Also, nobody is pathetic enough to waste time doing that.

I was caught afk script hunting a few years back when I was doing rats. Never got checked up on after that. Then again, I did learn my lesson and just hunted the regular way. Try fucking up less in GS, hm?

That's why I always like gs, you can mix 2-3-4 different things with that game.

Usually use the time while I am resting to read, play a video game, watch tv, post on the boards or whatever. No stellar RP at the Rift.

From last year's post about who is who on the GM's. Khaladon was SGM of PRemium and Platinum. His team consisted of Tigermist, Elowen- Premium, Elbrion, Thanthyl- Platinum.
Haven't heard of any changes but you might have better access to that info than I do.
They should be coming out with a new GM list soon I would think before Simucon comes.

I think most people who originally learn how to script become enamored with the idea that they can get experience while not doing any work. Going to bed and waking up the next morning to see an extra 10k in your bucket is a pretty neat thing.

However, after being caught and realizing that all their hard work could go for naught, they realize AFK scripting is not the answer.

So I believe him. From one former AFK scripter to another.
