Problems with tackle training

For some reason, I seem to be stuck on this damn tackle step.

I'm suposed to tackle someone else. I've tackled people younger then me, but with more ranks then me, and people older then me, with 3 less ranks then me, and I still get no ranks. I don't understand.

I thought guild training had a 5 rank leadway. IE I can train with another warrior who has my ranks - 5 or higher ranks. Why do I keep getting no reps?

Are you sure it's not to tackle the masters or to get tackled yourself? There is indeed leeway with levels and ranks on critters and on characters; so I'm not sure what the problem is in your case. However, I have encountered a similar problem in the past, but it was because I didn't read the assignment carefully enough.

Find someone who is your age or older and has more ranks than you do. I don't recall what the exact formula is but its not 5 ranks. Sometimes you need get someone who is the same age or older and has more equal or more ranks.

Well, for info. My friend gained one rank, putting her at 25 ranks, and me at 27 still, and I can get reps from her now.

Choose an alternate to tackle. I reccommend berserk and tricks and maneuvers.

I mastered berserk in about a week and that wasn't trying super hard. Just have to find something you can do critter reps on easy and then write some good sauna/tub task scripts :cool:
