Sonic Shield and SBash

I have a feeling it doesn't but if I don't ask I'll never know (before sinking CMAN points to find out). Do sonic shields flare if you use them with shield bash or are they just very light shields?

I was in a position to test this easily enough.

No go out of 25 attempts. The sonic shield did normal shield bash knockdown + damage, never saw a flare.
