Fresh Capped Bard and Empath

Hi All,

Curious what the rough estimate of a freshly capped, not with perfect stats, and with 0 gear/silvers/bps male elf bard and female dwarf empath would get?

Aethor mentioned he sold a fresh capped bard for $1400 or something but I'm wondering if that was a fluke or...are the bards just in high that high of demand?

Freshly capped naked characters run 300 to 600 in my experience. Bards, wizards and sorcerers are generally closer to the high end, while monks and paladins tend to be on the low end. Stats, skills (though this one is easily mitigated with the annual fixskills), race, sex, society, guild skills, forging skills, and whatever else people are looking for in a character can also affect value.

I thought Aethor's post referencing the $1400 for a newly capped bard was meant as a joke. If that was an actual transaction, good for Aethor and bad for whoever made the purchase, as they overpaid.

No one sold a fresh capped bard for $1400. That was just someone trying to impress people with the fantasy world they dwell in :)

I'd agree you would probably be looking at the higher end considering those classes are fairly in demand. Since the majority of the population of players is male, females can sometimes take a slight price hit. But nothing catastrophic and it depends on the class.

I'd put em both up for a $500 starter and see what bites you get. If it goes nowhere you can always lower your MB.

I am completely surprised to find out there is a value difference in male/female characters. Especially with dwarves. They friggen look and can be played with the same demeanor/attitude!
