Training help

Can Anyone Give me A training PLan for a 1HE and Shield useing Cleric. I want to be able to kill living with my Sword and undead with my Spells Or should I do it the otherway around. Sence I was thinking about joining COL. I want to use a LongSword and IM a Dark Elf Cleric.
I think thats what Ill do Ill kill undead with sword and Living with Bane/Smite dont know what one its is so What god should I go under also.....

Oh ya And when im Fighting the Living with my spell Can i not have my sword out and only my shield and not have to worry about getting my ass kicked
