My normal day consists of 5-7 meetings/appointments where I upgrade a user from w2k to XP-Pro, install new hardware, fix whatever problem they are having, etc. Now that I've taken on a more manager driven role it also includes meetings for planning and development of processes to impliment the above in a smoother more effective fashion.
Currently I've been at this upgrade for 2.5hours. Normal time for me is 1hour. This thing will not DIE!!!!!!!!
And ohh good it's time for another reboot.

Hmm...Idle question along those lines. I've got Win2k-Pro on my machine now and I've been wondering if I should just wait for Longhorn to come out or should I just shell out the $300 for XP-Pro.

Option 3
Download a pirated version of XP Pro. Longhorn will be buggy as shit until the first service pack (and probably afterwards)
Or, if you're Tayre, just stick with 2k because XP makes you cry.

Option 4.
Buy OEM for considerably less and use the MS website for trouble shooting if you need it. Like anyone reads the book anyway.

Option 6 - work for a company who has a deal with Microsoft that each employee can get one copy of their Office & Windows software free.
