As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the tiny dart in your hand, and you learn something about it...

The first thing that strikes you about the dart is the weight, which is about 2 pounds. In your best estimation, it's worth about 94,750,000 silvers.

It has a bonus of +20 from a normal dart, and the way it vibrates in tune with your voice tells you that it requires skill in thrown weapons to use effectively. It also has some type of special ability, but you can't tell what yet

The harmonics generated tell you that the dart inflicts more fearsome wounds when it strikes.

95 mil?

I'm pretty sure it's a dart from a Grutik savage.

So how can I tell how much, " inflicts more fearsome wounds ", is?

if u r a warrior, trained in hurling weapons, assess it a few times, but don't hold your breath, those things could barely punch a hole in double leather (if they're from grutik savages.)

That's generic messaging for crit weighting. You'll need to find a skilled assesser to determine the exact level.

Its not from a grutik savage, I've never seen a grutik, nor do I know where to hunt them. No Anticor its not a returner...So any warrior wanna asses this dart I got in a vor'taz box?

You sure this isnt from a trali? I know they throw them at familiars which is when you are able to pick them up.

How do you check it for skill\stat inhancing?

Careful examination indicates the tiny dart has a base strength of 10 and a base durability of 85. You also determine the current integrity of the tiny dart to be at 100.0%. That's what I get when I assess it.

Very well trained bard can check. I asked a friend last night and he said it prolly is. type info and skill base to see if anything goes up that way. Most likely it would be hidden. If anything goes up you'll know. But its something special, most likely not worth 94 mil, but that was a GMs doing...

Even checking info and skills might not show anything. The hazy rings given out on the Wavedancer enhance mana and stamina recovery, both of which go unnoticed by testing that way.

Thats why i said most likely it would hidden, but thats a start...

One of the things that annoyed me with GS.. was the stats of the equipment was always some stupid secret. Christ, just let me know what the fucking thing does. Why do I need to see a warrior, bard then assist to speak with a GM about something? GIVE ME THE ANSWER AND STOP MAKING ME JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO FIGURE THE SHIT OUT.

I prefer it this way. I get to see what the weapon or armor actually is vice an item is blue get it! or he is holding a +12 clamslapper.

That being said Celember I'm going to be around tonight we need to do some hunting. I'll hit you up when I get home.

I know Wulfhen is a hurling warrior, he's currently throwing a claid without throwing out his back. Find him if you can and get it assessed.

05-27-2005, 02:55 PM
Its most likely a stat/skill enchancing item. 94 mil is alot for a loresong to be even heavily crit weighted.

Had some gloves that helped skinning that sung to at 50 mil... So thats my guess, and you can't assess that...

Pity you can't train appraisal in GS the way you do in DR.
