Buying a sack full of ruby amulets. Hopefully they are charged.

Ruby amulets are a pain in the ass to charge ever since the big 517 nerf in the early 2000s. I don't remember specific numbers, but I'm pretty sure I was lucky if I could fit 10 charges into one post-nerf. The recent 517 changes had no effect on difficulty if I remember correctly.

Just in case your idea of being charged is like 30-40 or something.

I always assume standard critter loot is uncharged unless the shop owner has had it sung to (i.e. it tells you how many charges are in it when you GET the item in the shop)... even if a sign says otherwise.
