Dear Stateroom ticket holder,

I have attached a new and revised stateroom merchant schedule below. I have
also changed some of the information, so please reread this entire letter.
If you have chosen already, please re-choose, as some merchant times have
changed. Please note, some merchant times HAVE NOT changed, and still take
place during the scheduled quests. If you choose to see this merchant, and
cannot make the set time, tell me this and we'll make sure that you get to
see them during the week. The merchants in question cannot make any other
time during the weekend other then the ones listed. I have also added 6
merchants to the list who became available to offer services today. I was
not expecting this, and do not expect any more to be added.

Postings on the official message board have indicated that some ticket
holders are not pleased with the selection of merchants available to come to
the staterooms. We are sorry that this is the case. Our goal is to please
you, our customers. However, if this is not possible, we would offer you the
ability to change your Stateroom ticket into a 3rd class ticket for this
voyage. We will cancel the Stateroom ticket, or tickets for the double
ticket holders, and reissue the tickets as 3rd class tickets. You will, of
course, receive a refund for the difference between the ticket prices.
Please let me know as soon as possible if this is an option you wish to
activate.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Greetings Stateroom Ticket Holders,

The crew of the Wavedancer bids you all welcome.

As you know, your stateroom ticket entitles you to 10 private merchant
services during your voyage.

These visits to your stateroom will take place on Saturday, March 26th, and
Sunday, March 27th.

While the crew of the Wavedancer wishes that there were no rules attending
these services, they regret to inform you that there are a few, small, rules
that must be followed in order to ensure premium service and satisfaction.

Without further adieu, here are the specifications for service:

1.Merchants will visit your staterooms on Saturday and Sunday only (with the
caveat listed above for certain merchants).

2.Merchants will be scheduled to arrive on a certain day, at a specified
time. We expect them to arrive punctually, at the start of their scheduled
time.

3.You must choose, by responding to this missive, which merchants you would
like to see.

4.You are allowed one service only per merchant, until you reach a total of
10. For example, you can not have the same merchant provide 2 or more
private services for you at any time during the voyage, back to back, or on
different days. This does NOT prohibit you from getting additional service
from them in the course of their public service on the vessel.

5.If you are a double ticket holder, who has not yet selected a traveling
partner, please pass this message to the person you choose to attend with
you, and have them respond to it.

6.Merchants will charge you for their services. Please keep in mind that
some services will be more expensive then others. In no event will the
merchant charge you more then they would charge the general public for the
services they provide. The charges will be determined at the time of
service, and will be reasonable for the service provided.

7.Standard merchant service guidelines apply for all services. Please type
ALTER to see them.

8.Please submit this information to me no later then Friday night at 9pm
eastern time.

Please study the merchant schedule below, and respond by choosing 10
merchants that you would like see during your visit. Please select by
merchant name and day.

For example, if you want to choose Zanbec, then say so, along with the date
you wish Zanbec to visit your stateroom.

As you can see, some merchants are scheduled to provide services at the same
time, on the same day. This does not matter in terms of your selections. If
you choose to see, for example, Zanbec, who will do services at 8am on
Saturday, and Mulentin, who also does services at 8am on Saturday, you may
indeed select both, and they will provide you with services in an orderly
fashion at that time.

Please note, some merchants are only working on items from their shops. If
you choose such a merchant, you will need to have an item that they sold for
them to work on.

All times are Elven times.

Keep in mind that you must be available when they visit your stateroom.
Failure to be available at the stated time for the merchant visit will result
in a loss of that service.

Your name and stateroom number will be passed along to the specific
merchants, and they will be showing up at the stated time to do work for you,
and anyone else who has chosen them during that time slot.

Thank you,

GM Carraig

PS. If you have any questions as to Merchant services, or questions on a
specific service, please email me directly at gs4-carraig@play.net. I will
try to answer them as soon as possible.

Explanation of service types:

If the merchant is listed as providing 'general' alteration services, it
means they alter most items you would have. General tailoring services would
mean clothing alterations. If they are listed as altering items purchased
from their shops, it means they will bring a selection of those items with
them, OR you can purchase an item from their shop and have it ready when they
arrive. There are two merchants that requires you to already have an
item...that being the tattoo customization merchant. You must have a tattoo
to have it customized, and the holy weapon script adding merchant. He will
add neat scripts to your existing holy weapon.

Special rules for pocket adding merchant:

- The pocket size will be commiserate with where the item is worn. In
some cases, a pocket cannot be added -- for instance, rings cannot
have pockets and neither can armor or earrings.
- Items with special qualities cannot have a pocket added. Examples:
"DB" items, items that have scripts that go beyond fluffy messaging,
and items that are constructed in such a way that they cannot take a
pocket.

In some cases, Ishora may be able to see reasons why an item cannot
take a pocket that you cannot, so you may wish to bring more than one
item for this service.

With a suitable item, it will remain entirely the same in appearance
and functionality, but also have a pocket when Ishora is done with it.

Once the pocket is added, Ishora can also assist you with improving
the item's appearance if you desire.

If, for some reason, a client has no items suitable for pocket adding,
Ishora can simply provide appearance improvement to one of the
client's possessions.

Other notes:

Please take a look at the ALTER verb.
Please have several ideas in mind, and items on hand, for alteration
services, to make sure one is doable.

Snakestone/ASG conversions OR shield pocket adding/2pm/4pm/

Best service availible; at least, the only one I could use

FinisWolf

Yes, I like that one as well, getting my rogues 7X shield pocketed.

Though I am WAY stocked about the signature verb now, thanks to Tolli.

Respects,

I'd rather get some FGB or better brig converted into chain mail.

ASG Conversion is no AG conversion has to stay within AG and its usually damned costly

But all in all a much better list.

Holy weapon scripts. MmmmmMmmM

FinisWolf
03-22-2005, 08:08 AM
Yes, that and Khals unholies ... num num! Too bad I won't have an unholy by the time I see that merchant...

Tasty Num Nums for all!

Finis

StrayRogue
03-22-2005, 08:11 AM
I wonder if he can make weapons unholy though. Hell, I don't care if my sword would be sanct'd. I just want the damn scripts!

FinisWolf
03-22-2005, 08:13 AM
I doubt it. Khal has the market on the unholy weapons is my understanding. So I seriously doubt our scripter for the sancted weapons will even be able to play with Khals weapons.

Basically, just guesses. No real idea.

StrayRogue

He did the unholy and holy scripts, so I'm betting he's the merchant in question.

Define damned costly please. I'm looking at, if luck is on my side, taking a set of cuirb to LBP. So it's Same ASG and it's going down not up.

FinisWolf
03-22-2005, 08:43 AM
Down is always cheaper then taking something up. So that won't be as bad. I would guess it will actually be cheap, as in less then 100K, but others that have actually had the service, and went down as well will be better able to answer your question.

Still, a lot more nice hauberk than chain shirts.

Jolena

It can run as high as a few million depending on what you want done. They had a merchant like this on the Dhu and Stun and I were going to get ours fixed up. Unfortunately we didn't get to him in time before he stopped taking folks on his list.

Khal kinda admitted it on the boards. Looks like you are right.

I've had several armors converted within and and outside AG, the cheapest I paid was 10 million to take double to full leather. the most I was quoted was over 100 million to make a metal breastplate into full plate. Of course all of my armors are well above average.

Ardwen

though if I recall the 10m was for 6x heavy crit padded

Fallen

Sounds pricey, but well worth it, especially if you have high end armor you cannot use.

Sylph
03-22-2005, 06:25 PM
Tijay said turning 3x vhc cuirb into brig cost him 8million when he did it.

Jolena
03-22-2005, 07:01 PM
Yeah see, I wasn't trying to convert something that had HCP on it or whatnot. That's why I didn't see the really high prices. If I had that type of armor at the time ( I do now! hehe) I would have gladly paid the price for it. It's worth it in my opinion.

Heh, I have an 8x fire flaring eonake star that's already scripted. From what I was told the scripts can't be added to existing weapons, just new ones from his shop, 4x I'm sure.

Respectfully,

4 of my closest friends, one of them is in fact my best friend - are in staterooms. The latter asked directly about the holy item scripts and was told that they cannot be added to existing items. People will buy a weapon from his shop and will get the extra special brand of zests, according to what I was told.

Had they been able to be added to existing weapons, I'm certain that out of the 40 slots one of them would have had my weapon zested. Scripts might be really cool, but I'll stick with my star.

I trust the information that he was given, so you might want to cast your eyes upon some weapon from the shop, I'm sure it will still be exceedingly nice. And of course it will have the extra scripts that the off the shelf will not have without his merchant attention.

A friend of mine had his Urglaes full plate conveted into half plate or maybe MBP and they charged him 500k, on the other hand I think it was 5x and didn't have massive crit padding.
