Paintball

Best sport ever. I got my new semi-auto today. It's a Brass Eagle Marauder. 9 oz. CO2 tank, 9" barrel, double trigger, rear velocity adjust, 200 round hopper, and overall awesomeness. I use After Burner paintballs with an orange fill.

Discuss my awesome gun and/or your own gun and the sport.

Mine's blue. I also have a blue Brass Eagle Blade. It sucks.

10 vs 10? weak, we use to go 3 or 4 teams of about 20 each, go to a big empty forest, and fucking go at it, thats the greatest, play limited ammo games, badass

I used to have a Tippmann 98 Custom, then I realized I played paintball about once a year, so I sold it and bought some pot and a NES with a bunch of games.

Get two platoons of three squads each with four fire teams and a squad leader to go at each other in the desert then tell me about big paintball games. We got bored in 29 palms and they have a pretty good field on the base although I think it's been closed or relocated now. We used to use paint grenades, and limited ammo. Capture the flag style and speed ball are both great.

This happened in Anchorage, Alaska when a bunch of teens took FROZEN paintballs and shot them at homeless eskimos on the streets from a moving car and recorded it. It turned into a hate crime in the courts and they were made an example of.

Our customer support department goes out to play paintball at least once in a year in a huge forest park and shoot at each other for hours. It's such a blast! Most of us are trying to invest in guns for ourselves so that we can do it more often. Works really well to get the aggression out. :D

When I was 18 I use to work as a "ref" at a paintball place. After everyone left the staff use to freeze paintballs and play like that to make it TRUELY suck when you got hit. Unlike in regular paintball when people could wipe off paint and pretend they weren't hit. You knew when people got hit because it hurt and left huge as welts.

I remember my first time playing. We had this well laid out place, was pretty fun. I remember I rented a gun, So you know they are shitty.
I remember Pulling out from behind my little spot, and I nailed some guy right in the forehead, was fucking badass, then I got nailed like 40 times by his teammates, but it was still badass.

Here in Indy we have a few warehouses that have been converted into paintball places for year round playing. It's fun multi level, tons of obstacles, good sniper hides, etc.

One time I went and one of the guys on my team got disoriented. He and I were clearing a room I broke left he was supposed to break right and then we would sweep to the other door. He ended up behind me, saw movement and rushed. I turned around and said "Hey Greg" Bam a shot to the neck from three feet away. I about blacked out it hurt so damn bad. He started laughing so I shot him in the junk. After we could both breath again we finished the game and then laughed our asses off about it later.

my mom wholesales tippman guns, I got about the most all out custom 98 there is, full auto ttrigger, back spin barrel... I use it about 2 times a year for stupid shit like ambushing friends.... back in the day, my one buddy lived on a house with a golf corse on his backyard, at night we'd go out and have escape and evade drills with new comers... that was fun

I used to play a bit myself.

I still have my model 98 tippman with a nice 16 inch chrome barrel and a anodized blue compression chamber and an added hair trigger. Set me back about $550 dollars.

Their paintball guns are for sale only in wal-marts.

I played for several years and know for a fact that brass eagle isn't a very good quality paintball gun.

Even their paint sucks.
It doesn't break and most of the balls are only half full.

I've never played paintball. I have done a few training exercises with Simunitions. Those were always fun. Simunitions are fired from a modified M-16, M-4, or Baretta. You swap the normal upper reciever group of your rifle with the Simunition one. It fires small plastic paint pellets, using about 1/8th the amount of powder as a normal round. Still enough to hurt like hell though. Body shots aren't too bad, flak jackets absorbed the impact pretty well, but we had one guy who always aimed at crotch level.... Luckilly he was in my squad.

Yeah Simunition is good stuff. You can get it for modified AR-15/M-16 too but it's dam expensive. Good training though.

My first gun was an old VM-68. I upgraded the barrel, put a stock on it, auto feed hopper and laser sight. It deadly accurate for the first 5 shots.. but then you would have to clean out the rifled barrel.

After I sold the VM68, I had an autococker. Had that for about 3 months.. but it constantly jammed and I couldn't get a constant speed from it. It would shoot 50 on one shot then zoom to 100 the next.

Sold that and got an automag. Sweet sweet gun. Constant air.. very little maintenance.. never had a problem with it. It's pricey (They were like $400 about 5-6 years ago)

I customized the shit out of that gun... I had every gadget imaginable with it..

Some little bastard stole it out of my truck about a year after I had it... haven't played since.

And yes.. Brass Eagle is shit.

I played for two and a half hours today. The first round was 3 on 9. We got destroyed. In that one round, I was shot twice on my goggles by two different people. I also got a paintball right above my mask, so it hit me in the head. There's a very large amount of swelling. Later on I was hit right in the neck with no protection. There's a mark. A very noticeable mark.
