It will slowly lose it's total charge count. Never ran one out, so I have no idea how long it takes - but its somewhere around 14! (Factorial) which would be over 100. You can slways look up the item, but at a 1k min bid for a greater than million silver item nobody is complaining.

Use 14 charges and next time around it has 13, then 12, etc until you get to zero.
