This character has access to wizard & sorcerer, and empath spells for buffs. Considering that I figured THW would be good because I would have extra DS from all the spells.

One of my goals for this character is to provide support to my other characters I'm playing so I want to focus on blessing lore to help DS of colors, as well as use, resist nature later.

I also want to have him be a serious skinner. I have got him an auto bundling skin bag. Not sure how much I should be training in FA and Survival if I want to be serious about skinning.

I have access to a bard who will be focusing on trading skill. Not sure if I"m going to go through the trouble of having the bard sell everything or if I"ll have Onrack selling everything, so not sure if i need to keep up training in trading or not yet.

I'm a master in COL.

Here are my questions.

Will this work well? In the comprehensive ranger guide there was no mention of THW.

Should I be training in ambush? I don't know anything about ambush, I'm currently using a claid.

Don't really want to train in hiding and figured with my focus on blessing lores, skinning and possibly trading not gonna have TP's for that.

What cman's should I be using, I just recently found out there is a whole thing with cmans, I originally thought you trained in the trainer and that was that.

What should I do with my stats I still have several re-roll of my stats. I only have 4 spirt points and since I'm using spirt signs in col and I could use a few more spirt points.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Izzy

I'm 99% certain that lore bonuses to your spells only apply to self cast.

Cheaper to go twc than thw for rangers

You'll be fine, especially with outside spells.

I believe open ambush for warriors has you doing ~30 ranks, but that's in conjunction with 2x CM so maybe you'd want more.

"Serious" skinning would be training in FA and survival as much as possible, but 1x is still pretty good.

I think 8 spirit, combined with giantman regen, would allow you to keep your signs up indefinitely without suffering penalties.

the wiki doesn't say anything about lore benefits only being for the caster.

Maybe I'm missing something but if you go 2X TWC and 2x a weapon it seems like it's more TP's than 2x THW.
