Awesome! My parents have seen it in AZ too, I was wondering how far it had made it. My boss told me the other day that he really stood on the hotel for that commercial, too, it wasn't digitized or whatever like I originally thought.

I still plan on going.

I'm not going on for higher education in economics. I would have had to take too many more undergrad classes, plus a bunch of scary math that I'm not even sure I can do.

I will go on for my MBA though. I applied to only two schools this year, and I didn't get in because I don't have the work experience. This job will give me business experience, and also give me better letters of recommendation. (My current supervisors vs. an old professor and a boss from an internship five years ago).

I will make my big application push in the fall of this year. I'll have months to write my essays instead of five weeks like I did this year. I can schedule interviews and make campus visits. I can do it right.

I also plan on retaking the GMAT. I scored a 720 the first time, which is good, but my quantitative score was significantly lower than my verbal score. The quant score is much more important... especially to prove that I can handle all the numbers when I never took math in college.

So, yeah... I'm still going... but not until 2006.

I have only seen that movie once, and don't remember that part. I think it would have taken me a second as I zone out at work and then just stared at them incredilously.

That being said, I fucking hate people that are looking in a tank of fish that all look EXACTLY the same (with perhaps the exception of size) and say..."No...no not that one, the one over there, the one with the cute face."

If I worked for Ford I'd gripe too.... Seriously though, working for Lexus has a lot of benifits, like an air conditioned shop, higher pay rates, an HD TV in the break room, and other such things. The shop charges customers more per hour than most other brand's dealerships do, but they kind of have to. A Lexus vehicle has a lot more electronics in it, and they pay for a lot of our training. I love what I do, and I'm deffinately not in danger of starving, but I still can't afford to buy any of the cars I work on...

IFR Air Traffic Controller in an ACC, the canadian equivalent of ARTCC (air route traffic control center).

It's a very rewarding job and I think it's a good time to consider a career in it for anyone who thinks they have the abilities and the personality to handle it. In 1981 Reagan fired nearly all air traffic controllers who were illegally striking (something like 11 thousand controllers if I remember right). Following the strike there was naturally some massive hiring and those controllers now have nearly 25 years of service. Most of them will be retiring in the next 5 years.

I can't tell you what all the requirements are as far as academics for the United States but I can definitely tell you about the every day work and the qualities needed to succeed in this job. I'm always happy to talk about it so just send me a U2U or an IM.

DIA pays me quite well...some of the other folks that came in with me...not so much. Master's degree pwned for me, but I had no experience military or civilian in what I do now. I make about $75k per year right now and that's after working there for about a year and a half...I started out at around $50k. With an undergrad you'd probably start around $40k or so...maybe more with experience.

DIA has a good internship program and our division loves getting former military and reservists on board, I think most divisions do.

For job seekers, check out

http://www.dia.mil/Careers/Vacancies/index.html

If you've got a clearance, you can try for any of them, without a clearance, check the entry level/candidate pool.

We can join the British intelligence agencies if we pass tests. Probably.

To carry out its mission, the FBI needs men and women who can fill a variety of demanding positions. To qualify as an FBI Special Agent, you must be a U.S. citizen, or a citizen of the Northern Mariana Islands, at least 23 and not have reached your 37th birthday on appointment. Candidates must be completely available for assignment anywhere in the FBI's jurisdiction, have uncorrected vision not worse than 20/200 (Snellen) and corrected 20/20 in one eye and not worse than 20/40 in the other eye. All candidates must pass a color vision test.

You're political views might get you in trouble (if you were American) and limit you in the opportunities in any of those types of job fields.

I'd just be a Mulder and go "FUK UZE" to everyone then pwn them all with my wicked agenting.
