Well my mom has surgery in 2 hours... I'm really worried about all this... She has degenerative disc disease... and has another herniated disc in her back… and it shattered and the fragments keep hitting her nerves… It’s not a fun situation for her, but at least she’ll be out of pain finally (after the healing process of course). I’m a nervous wreck… Wish her luck or pray for her or whatever it is you do…

Surgery can be real hard on a family. Hope it works out.

A friend of mine had a similar surgery several months ago. He's up and about, pain free for the first time in many months.

He said the procedure was quick and a lot less painful than his previous suffering with the disk.

Here's hoping your mothers surgery goes even more smoothly and she recovers completely.

Well she made it out great, and she's coming home in about an hour... so yay for that. I got her a bunch of get well balloons waitin in her bedroom. They said after about 2 weeks she can start physical therapy... So yay!
