After a couple days of DR, I got curious as to how many arena runs happen during the event so I set up a F2P to gather numbers.

Caveats:

He didn't start observing until Saturday (8/11) 10:18PM (Pacific).
I initially forgot to account for group entries, so I missed everyone other than the group leader until sometime Sunday afternoon.
If the F2P got logged out for any reason, my script waits 5 minutes to logon again, so even more might have been missed during the week.

With all those caveats on why these numbers are just a minimum, the numbers:

Total entries observed: 114,949
Unique characters entering the arena: 421
Max entries by a single character: 4673

# entries|character count
1|36
2-10|98
11-25|51
26-50|46
51-100|45
101-250|49
251-500|34
501-1000|27
1001-2500|27
2501+|8

Jesus. Eye-opening. Thanks for that. Record the names of those 35 whales in the 1000+ entry category next time so we can shame them.

Even lowballing the lowball, 114,949 entries, assuming everybody got a decent price on simucoin purchases, call it $80,000 in entries, or 5333 monthly subscriptions. Just on one partial recording of one aspect of one DR. No wonder they abandoned all the other development. And this was a DR with people complaining that there was nothing good to buy!

100,000 entries averaging 200 bs would be only 20m bs generated on the low end...

I'm sure 99% of the runs are max 275, so average would be more like 270. Let's say 120k times 270 is 32.4m BS. Then despite the lower BS payout there were a significant amount of people running sewers and heists. Just to half-ass, maybe 10m more?

You know how Simu says people shouldn't AFK script.

Rofl.

If we are being kind and say it takes 100 seconds for a run as fast as possible. I'm pretty fucking fast and my best was 104 seconds. This is something like 127 hours of arena time.

But I guess if you're paying that kind of cash they don't care if you're at the keyboard or not.

So, how many of you folks simply just have a good portion of your paychecks directly deposited into Simu's coffers?
