We can already SACRIFICE something to convert its essence into mana for ourselves, what if 750 were essentially a much stronger version of Sacrifice, and along with the mana gains we could for a time subsume some of the characteristics of the creature we Harvested? Square critters would grant more health/natural crit padding/etc, Pure critters maybe one of their unique attacks such as the Ithzir Seers telekinetic ability/an Ithzir Heralds Lullabye/etc. The possibilities are near endless.
