Right now he is sword and board, but I want to try out something new. UAC looks pretty good because he is a Voln master, and I am not sure how I feel about arrow management. I have been trying to read the UAC posts on here but a lot of em are pretty old or are for capped rogues. Just wondering what I should be focusing on at my level. Below is what I have planned out so far, but I am not sure where I should be putting the extra points. Is it more picking versus more combat skills at this point, or am I over looking something else I will need? Also what armor class would be ideal, doubles or brig? It seems like its still worth getting armor ranks even if your going for lighter armors?

Off the top of my head a couple of things: 1. Arcane symbols, you only need 10 ranks; 2. If you have the points, go 2X on CM, more AS/DS and much better maneuver defense; 3. I would either dump MOC, my rogue does not have any at 75, or get it to about 6 ranks which is where my paladin is; 4. You will be fine picking for the next 7-10 trains, then you will find that you get some boxes that you cannot get, mostly traps. At that point either find another way to open them or get picking/disarm up to about 2.2 and you should be fine to cap, you could lower perception to about 1.5 also and gain some points, that is where mine is and I have never not seen a trap.

Personally I think an MSTRIKING ambushing rogue is a scary build and have thought very hard about that route after I built my UAC wizard.

Thank you for the reply Kutter,

If I drop MOC to zero I could get 128 ranks of CM, but I could also bump MOC up to 30 ranks if I only 1.5x CM. Not sure which is better because I havne't had a real fight with UAC yet.

i dont pick but id imagine you can drop either spells or physical fitness to 1x to get your cman to 2x

How far behind on your guild dues are you?

I was something like 90+ months due on Guild Fees. I couldn't remember my passcode either because I have a new computer and didn't save anything. I got ejected from the guild and had to rejoin after tracking down a diamond for Dunphy.

That is a good idea Derex.. I can spare a little bit of PT to get CM up to 2x. Thanks.

I totally missed that you had 130 PT. While it helps in maneuver defense, being 2X in CM and only 65 in PT would in my opinion, be a better use of points. As far as MOC, it only really depends on what type of hunter you want to be; my rogue does not engage multiple targets. It is to dicey being in offensive after springing from hiding with another critter in the room. I rely on having two weapons and phantom weighting on a lone target.

I would only need to drop 4 ranks of PT to get CM up to 2x.

If that is the case I would do that trade in a second. And this is just me, I would still bring PF to 65 and start getting ranks in TWC and try to get that to 2X. Having two chances to get a stun on a target has brought me a lot fewer situations where I would have been left in the open in RT with no hit because of a dodge or a block. Critters dodge really well, far to well in my opinion.

Just to give you an idea, here is my rogue. He is a little wonky right now since I just used a FIXSTAT on him, he was a GS3 baby, and then fixskilled him so he could pick my wizards boxes from the bowels, so he needed a fair amount more picking skill to get to 88 train boxes, ignore some of the oddball stuff, he has on enhancives:

Before that he was an almost pure hunter with only 2X in pick/disarm and fully doubled in all hunting skills and except for things like undead and animals, he was pretty good at hiding. That being said, the hiding mechanic in the game is so broken, but that is a discussion for a separate thread.

That sounds pretty good. Thank you for the help. What is the best thing to hunt with UAC at level 63? I was hunting Troll Kings and Stone Giants/Stone temple last I remember.

at 65 you should be heading towards krag yeti.
