technics 1200 mk5s or m5gs are the way to go for turntables

the technics cd players are quite nice, i've played around with them quite a bit, but the pioneer cdj-1000s are very nice as well. i'd stay away from numark anything though, some people like their high end turntables, but the technics are, have been, and probably always will be the standard
