My experience happens to agree with your experience, in that MAX tp's is the best way to go.

Mine are going for stats. Once I cap them, I can always get more TP's by hunting.

and this is where I have to say, won't you still be behind in tp's then other players at your level?

i know you can cap every skill, theorhetically (sp?) but still..

TP's can be gained further. You can't get the bonuses from having maxxed stats ever again. Someone might have 100 more TP's than me, but if their logic is 54, I absorb more from the hunting, leading to being more beneficial. The same can be said of any stat, except maybe influence. Heh.

I think I'm with Stun on this one. Maxing for stats is only really beneficial to those who are at or closing in on the cap though. Having your character miss skills for a destination you might never reach isn't exactly fun.

The only reason I'm considering this is my base ST, CO and AGI are way below cap and I do love being able to hold more RP props.

I am also going for stats and not TPs.

Fuck the other players at my level.

Once you reach 100, even if you're going for max tp's, you're still going to have really good stats. The difference is, over the course of getting to 100, if you go for max tp's, you're probably going to have around 500, if not more, extra TP's than someone who goes for stats. That's alot more skils.

I have two characters that I could easily adjust a stat or two and be fine, so in their cases I considered stats at 100 but I was more concerned about making sure both of their cons were higher since I tend to carry a ton of crap around. They aren't completely optimized for stats or tps but are a nice amalgum of the two.

My younger characters I'm still thinking on what I will do with those, they are in their 30's and below.

Edited to remove stats just for Makkah.

Yes Soulpieced, we know you're capped. There are plenty other capped characters that didn't post their shit just to try to "be cool."

Now STFU.

You can actually gain more useful TPs by not going for stat maxing in certain cases.

Okay educate me, WB. I have always had the optimization drilled into my head, it's hard to know what other methods are viable. I have several characters that I would need to consider.

I have the maximum combination of stats and TP. I could have set it up so to have 9 100's and 1 94 or 96. However, this would have caused me to lose around 300-500 TPs vs. my current plan which has 8 100's, a 98, and an 80 (CON). Frankly, that's a lot of time, and the CON is a pointless stat considering I'm a giant and the bonus is 25 anyway.

I maxed my stats to the best of my ability without hindering my character.

Andi will have 7 100's and three 70s or so(log/int/inf) as a warrior... when I convert my rolls will be 7 100's and two low 70s(log/int) and one mid-80s(inf)

The way I had Edaarin set up was for 8 100's, a shitty INF stat (think it would be like 70 something at cap, initially put a 20 in it), and a bad WIS stat (started at like 54 or 57).

Currently capped characters had the luxury of maxing out our stats when we were older, so we didn't have to grow with terrible stats.

That being said, my 20 training empath is set for stat growth and has the exact same starting stats as my 100 train empath, (Same race and profession, but a weapon user) and is doing just fine.

I placed mine for heavy Stat growth and it HURT. Lost 16 CS, about as much TD. My defense went up a bit, and I can carry a ton more.

Really miss those 16 points, though. Also, went from 11 Spirit to 9.

Set for tps. The difference can be hundreds of tps and therefore hundreds of hours worth of extra hunting in OTF. However, theres always the notion that certain higher stats will make the game easier/quicker, such as logic, strength etc, so the choice is yours.

Set for max tps/high primaries... a combination as it were. Low primaries screws you out of TPs for a long time. Certain other stats come to mind, like having a decent logic or having high dex/agility for two handed weapon swinging.

11 Spirit? You sure you didn't have a spirit enhancing item that used all it's charge?

Not if he put his Aura down significantly. Though the only way he could have a 11 in the first place was with the giftbox item.

Hurrah for reiterating my last post.

My current plan gives me a good balance of TPs and has me capping with 6 stats at 100, 2 at mid 90s, and 2 at mid 80s.

Found out that I am an idiot, and I did not note that my spell ranks were not automatically picked up after the stat changes. So, upon doing that, my CS loss was only 8 points. MUCH better.

Having high STR and CON rocks. I am very happy with my changes now.

Got a fiter in the 60s and did the max-to-TP thing. Got me 170 TPs back!! That's frigging nearly 2 levels worth.
