Official: Spring Spectacular - Smite / Bane bane updated to not suck half the time

Bane/Smite (302) will no longer deal half the normal damage when casting against alignment. It will still cost double the mana (4), but you should find it to be respectable damage even at that mana cost.

as per Estild on discord:
off alignment can now also trigger the extra damage infusion (previously it could not), so the spell is now exactly the same, aside from the mana cost, no matter what you cast it at.

an alignment of OTHER was always "real" smite, and is included in the above changes.

Further, UNCONVERTED previously had a version of Smite that did not work at all on the living. Now it has the full normal version of Smite, again with all the new updates to work on living, etc. So now you can stop worshipping your lame gods.

ok so it's 50% base, increased up to 100%, if the appropriate Liabo / Lornon moon is in phase, based upon a seed 9 water lore....

There's probably a hidden seed 10 water lore requirement.

edited OP to add info from discord:

- both versions can also now get the extra damage infusion against opposite alignment (previously could not)
- all of these changes do apply to Smite gained from the OTHER convert option
- UNCONVERTED clerics previously had a hobbled smite (didn't work on living at all), now they get the full normal version of Smite with all the new changes

If I remember my old role master rules, there was some lesser forces, mainly neutral, that could give powers to an unconverted Cleric as long as they'd do some tasks mainly bringing people to know their name (a la American God in a way).
you guessed it, their power would be cap at a low level though until they get more follower so in the end, they become converted.

if it's 14 days of release, 3 are done, 1 were clerics so far i think like 6ish are cleric things according to discord (something like that). a few are fire lore changes so there's only a handful unaccounted for.

besides, monks JUST got 1206. What else do you want?

"As someone who supported empaths migrating over, I'm not sure I still would today. That decision needed to be made before we designed the Minor Mental list so we could properly account for them (in terms of what they gain and lose)"

and yet, here we are...adding a bolt spell with a single square class that will ever realistically be able to learn it.

If you train in Arcane Symbols and get a 302 scroll, this is totally a monk buff.
