Never understood why so many think Kylo Rens story of Reys parents was anything but a lie. The Very Bad Guy tells his very powerful sort-of nemesis that she is a nobody. Something that she has feared all her life. What else is he going to say to her? That she is the last of an incredibly powerful Jedi family with a noble(sort of) tradition of defeating evil and the dark side? I would be surprised if Riann Johnson didn't intend it that way.

Its standard beat-em-down-so-you-can-build-em-back-up-how-you-want-them-to-be Very Bad Guy movie tactics.

Reys parentage seems obvious, and has since her first scenes in The Force Awakens. The fact that she doesn't believe it herself isn't surprising. She was left behind as a kid. And not by junkers(though of course she does not remember by whom).

It's even derivative of The Matrix when the Oracle tells Neo he is *not* The One, which then forces him to go through the whole "There is a difference between knowing the path, and walking the path" thing.

RotJ used to be my favorite. Still probably #2. ESB is #3. Episode 1 and 2 would be even more excellent if you took out one specific character, which they did with RotS.

Not sure what this is going to turn out to be, hopefully less of a shit show than the last one, but who knows. Not sure why Rogue One got so much hate, I thought it was a pretty good movie. Well, except for the fact that apparently Rebel soldiers are almost as bad as Stormtroopers at hitting what they are shooting at. Pretty sure if there wasn't some gravity hijinks going on both sides would have missed the planet they where standing on.
