My grandpa just informed me that in Ohio, 400,000 votes were given to Bush by error. Not sure if this is true or not... They are also saying it wouldn't have effected the election (which makes no sense to me) I'm gonna go watch the tv and see what I can get out of this.

It was not 400,000 votes. Ugh... please don't start this. Bush won. Period.

As I stated in the other thread (I didn't have exact figures as I read the story on yahoo and didn't bother to look for it again) this sort of opens the doors for investigation.

It is up to those in Ohio to dig deeper. If that happens it happens, chances are they won't bother since Kerry already conceded.

I think the issue is whether or not it was repeated elsewhere in Ohio. No matter how big a stink people make about this, Bush is still going to be in office for the next four years.

So, um, completely unbiased... ;)

P.S. I can already hear Parkbandit chortling as he reads this.

Actually, I think most people will laugh too... it's pretty bad.

I hate to say it. If there is a problem with the votes, it doesn't surprise me.

I just hate to think Bush would do something like that again.

I think that it's over though, Kerry's already given up. I hate to admit it, but the American people chose that man as our president.

I suppose that's correct Ilvane.

Winston Churchill said it right though: In a Democracy, people always get the government they deserve.

Gave me chills when I read that.

Apparently any memory older than a few years is removed from your memory.

Not surprising considering the lack of rudimentary mathematic ability.

See Florida 2000.

The same stink would be called to attention had it worked out in Kerry's favor.

I don't think 2000 was a Bush machination per se. There was a screwup in Florida, and it happened to fall into the lap of the Supreme Court. The court voted exactly 5-4, all five republicans against the four Dems. A dream scenario for the Reds but nothing outright fraudulent.

Here, the mysterious glitches combined with the statement of the CEO of the company MAKING the voting machines indicates a real possibility of improprierty.

To Chelle, I quote myself in another thread: It's a conspiracy to you, a societal peon. To the people in power, its business as usual.

In regards to my memory. You know nothing about me or my memory.
Which is just fine, Thank you.

Sorry, I don't buy into the conspiracy theories regarding Ohio and Florida 2000. Oh wait, I'm not sorry. I regard such theories a sign of weakness and a lame attempt to grasp at straws. And believe it or not if it were switched and it were Kerry. I STILL wouldn't buy into it.

There'd have to be 775 extra votes for Bush (and none for Kerry, obviously) in every county to make it a tie. For anyone who was curious.

Yeah Chelle, Bush went to Ohio and tampered with the machines himself, just like he did in Florida of 2000. He has the power, he can manipulate the vote anyway he wants. She's on to him.
