New player experience team? Are there that many new players these days to have a whole dedicated team to them?

Pretty sure like half of current players are GMs now.

Assistant GM vs. Contributing GM vs. GM Apprentice has me scratching my head.

That looks like a family tree, and I thought the party planning commitee bubble said family planning committee.

2:1 ratio of "admin and training" to "development"

Usually that's a real good sign for software development.

It would make sense if she was on that list. Hasn't been on PC in about a month and I haven't seen her in game since DR some time.

Caramia.

I know you're joking, but there's no way time4fun would be able to keep that on the down low.

"rofl honey, do you even KNOW the kind of work it takes to run a paid festival? Let's just say you'll need several degrees from Ivy league schools to even come close to managing it."

I’d much rather have Dundler-Mifflin GMs.

Mikos has been a GM since the 90s with a break at some point. He built my house in like 2001. He should be running the show by now in dev. Or maybe he doesn’t give a shit.

The cycle of time4fun:

says really stupid things > gets proven wrong > doubles down anyway > gets proven wrong even more > disappears until the next butthurt TDS fueled Trump “scandal” > shows back up with at least 1 new PhD and/or super duper important new job that’s been keeping her away > says really stupid things > gets proven wrong > doubles down anyway > gets proven wrong even more > disappears until the next butthurt TDS fueled Trump “scandal” > shows back up with at least 1 new PhD and/or super duper important new job that’s been keeping her away > says really stupid things > gets proven wrong > doubles down anyway > gets proven wrong even more > disappears until the next butthurt TDS fueled Trump “scandal” > shows back up with at least 1 new PhD and/or super duper important new job that’s been keeping her away > says really stupid things > gets proven wrong > doubles down anyway > gets proven wrong even more > disappears until the next butthurt TDS fueled Trump “scandal” > shows back up with at least 1 new PhD and/or super duper important new job that’s been keeping her away > etc.

Pretty sure contributing GM are people who don't have the time or desire to do the "full" commitment and do what they can as time / motivation allow.

Gelston

Yeah, a GM Apprentice is a new dude. An Assistant GM is basically a GMA that has passed their first phase of training and is working a being a Full GM. A Contributing GM is a GM that has been around for a bit but can't keep up with the monthly/weekly and festival requirements. Some of them are around just as much as before, some of them are really just gone mostly.

Those kids dug out an entire mine and populated it with capped hunting in what is basically Zul. They are infinitely more productive.

Entirely depends on how many of them are training for development, doesn't it?

Looks like 4, as far as I can remember from my class. Haliste was one of them.

He has been around since the '90s, probably has more seniority than anyone else currently on staff.

Sleken and Coase have been around a while. The two of them plus Isten are probably the only ones left from the 2003 HSN Dream Team (https://www.play.net/gs4/news/features/credits.asp).

I believe Isten was around in 93 or so. I was screwing around with scripts and found a particularly old one that was created by him that was from then. I questioned him and he just laughed.

He pretty much only does training for new GMs, whereas other GMs on the training staff have other jobs in GS and such. If you've never done that, you'll probably never see him.

Unrelated, but it reminded me. When I was a new Mentor, they used to give you a mentor mentor to mentor you about mentoring. Mine was Hewward. Turns out he lived and worked in the same small town (population about 1500 at the time) in Jersey as I did. We worked less than a mile from each other. We walked to the pizza place in town and had lunch instead of talking in game.

And then we scissored buttholes.

Eh, I imagine a lot of GMs are never met IRL. I mean, if you don't go to SimuCon or any of that shit, you'll probably never see any... And not all GMs go to SimuCon either way.
