Do these hang out in any particular area of the temple or all over? I'm trying to hunt only them for Voln.

Defenders can be found anywhere. Sentries will only be on the floor you come in on and the section past the stairs to the north (except for very rarely). Wherever the floor is covered with water, basically.

Sentries typically stick to 2nd floor but occasionally wander to 3rd floor. Defenders are on both floors.

Just don’t get disarmed by a defender and then imploded by a sentry or you’re gonna have a bad time.
