Hey guys,

What are your thoughts on halfling warriors who use lances? Any opinions? They primarily kill by attrition with the lance's high damage output, right? Other than the height issue and weight issue (which can be countered by the monthly weight reducer in the store), any drawbacks?

Thanks!

My halfling paladin uses lances and he kicks ass. Haven't tried halfling warrior but I imagine they would kick ass too. Halflings 4 lyfe!

That depends on whether or not you consider your character automatically being gay as a bad thing or not.

By gay he means happy. Halflings are very happy fellows.

Correct. Just look at the gay old time they're all having.

halfing with a lance is a very probable concept

A long time ago I was planning to prepare a guide on how size of a weapon affects the ability for a race to aim higher up on the body parts but never got around to it. From my notes this is what I found though...

Lance+2H-Polearms = Modifier 4
Two-hand weapon + 1H-Polearms = Modifier 3
OHE + OHB = Modifier 1
Dagger, short sword = Modifier 0
Katana + Bastard Sword = Modifier 3

Here is another snippet of my raw notes.

Done on 7 foot creature vs halfling 4 foot
AXE adds 1 foot - can hit right arm
falchion adds 1 foot - right arm
longsword adds 1 foot - right arm
claid adds 3 foot
flail adds 3 foot - neck
battle axe adds 3 foot
lance adds 5 foot
rapier adds 1 foot
scimitar adds 1 foot
bastard sword adds 3 foot - neck
broadsword adds 1 foot - right arm
short sword adds 0 foot - back
dagger adds 0 foot - back
military pick adds 3 foot
estoc 1 foot
katana adds 3 foot
morning star adds 1 foot
1-h spear adds 3 foot
2-h spear adds 4+
1-h trident adds 3 foot
2-h spear adds 4+
pilum adds 3 foot
two-handed sword adds 3
quarter staff adds 3
flail adds 3
mattock adds 3
maul adds 3

What this doesn't take into account though is the accuracy which would likely take a big hit if you decide to ambush with a lance.

i love halfling for a lot of things, but warrior isnt one... i'll be old school and play a dwarf warrior all day before a halfling one

Warrior/Paladin is the perfect fit for Halflings! Not only do they have great agidex, but their biggest weakness is that they can't carry a lot. Being a profession that wears plate allows you to lighten your full plate and basically DOUBLE your carrying capacity.
