What was the last thing you asked your smart speaker to do or about?

I asked Alexa if dogs can eat Kiwi.

It's not considered poisonous to dogs.

You can have it interface with some TVs and shit and have it switch between feeds and you can also have it turn on/off alarms and crap.

I have wize camera's and can watch them through my phone app or through my echo show, I forget the manufacturer of my lock but the app can lock/unlock it. I also have routines where it turns lights on/unlocks the garage door when my phone gets home.

My 13 yo was at home alone. I called his cell phone to check on him and he didn’t pick up. So I “dropped in” on one of our echos via the Alexa app on my phone which broadcast my voice from the echo speaker and I was able to get my son’s attention and speak to him via the echo. I thought that was pretty cool.

Ok, my wife bought me a 55" toshiba fire tv. It's SUPPOSED to connect to my echo and I can control it with my voice commands. Thus far it only changes to cable and not to Hulu, or Disney+ or Prime. Like WTF? Also, doesn't mute, or turn up/down.
