DISCLAIMER: This is a (somewhat) real problem, please keep the homosexuality jokes to a minimum.
I got a new pair of boat shoes a few days ago, and they scraped the crap out of the area above my heal (behind the ankle). I also just got blood all over my pure whites because the scrapes open back up everytime I take a step.
Is there any way around this or do I just have to wait till I build up some calluses?

There are small heel pads you can affix to the area of the shoe that's rubbing, hon. Most any drugstore carries them, and they work better than bandaids. :)
Edited to add that a bandaid will need to be used to cover the wound until it heals. Moleskin might work, as well, as long as the wound isn't actively bleeding.

depends on the boats but I would get them wet and wear them till they are dry.
that way the boats adjust and shrink to your feet.
mole skin is the best thing I know for blisters
edit because HN pointed out my typo.

I assumed that by "boat shoes" he didn't mean boots, toj. I was thinking more like Dockers. I may be wrong, however.

They're 3-eye Polo's.

ToJ said it. Moleskin.
Also I'd put on some ankle socks and wear the shoes around in your room or whatever to help break them in.

If the wound is open and bleeding, I wouldn't suggest moleskin quite yet. It can, however, be placed over a bandaid to secure it.

New Skin (http://shop.store.yahoo.com/physlabs/068542.html) works very well too. Of course, there's no padding on it as a regular bandaid has so it might not be best for the achille's tendon area which gets a lot of wear. But if you want something less noticeable, the liquid bandage is excellent.

New skin also burns like a bitch in an open wound. That stuff is a temporary solution, IE a cut on the bottom of your foot when you are at the beach. DEFINATELY not something I would use if I had any other choice.

Sissy.
I'll second the New Skin option. Layer a few coats on, and you should be set.
