This mithril box can add certain gems and skins to select weapons. Place both items inside and close the box.
The box can be altered as long as it makes sense with the loresong and mechanical whirring.

It works on most weapons that dont have a post-noun description. It's usually something like with a <gem-type> set into its <handle-type> (cut gems work) or a <skin-type> wrapped around it's handle type>

You can use it on player forged weapons, but the original crafter is the only one able to remove the handle description to make it eligible (LEAN POL CLEAN at the forge). It's been a while since I played with all this, but I believe the order was Grind off handle, dye if you want, then use the box.
