Spirit servants and itchy curse

Just something I'm wondering about - would spirit servants pick up weapons you drop on the ground due to itchy curse? I've only had experience with them and the disarm maneuver so far.

I literally JUST sold my bag of doomstones for a bounty, but that would be a decent way to test it safely with a junk weapon.
