Look at the title of the thread you created Tams. To me that says you believe the allegation despite the GOP not offering up evidence.

Is this what it's come down to for you? Takes one to know one?

Go study up on your history and chemistry and come back when you've learned something.

Yep, Uranium decays to lead, alpha emissions aren't a hazard, the war in Iraq isn't over oil (despite shelling out billions to secure and improve the industry and not a dime to keep the power on anywhere else), and Lincoln was a conservative.

Eh ... some money has been spent.

I believe cutting a huge check to Hali for reconstruction would entail power plants. So far they have offered very little in the way of manpower, and even less in cash for needed parts.

In a nation where the biggest resource is oil, you would think fuel for power stations wouldn't be an issue ... yet it is.

And I posted several SCIENTIFIC links with detailed charts to illustrate the point. For anyone who wishes to check, I suggest you look it up in any nuclear chem book or site. It has been quite well documented.

If you don't know the composition of Depleted Uranium includes a good amount of U-235, and how it decays into lead, then you are absolutely beyond help. How you passed any kind of advanced chem class is absolutely beyond me. Then again, I hear a google degree in chemistry is pretty easy to get.

But again, here is a link illustrating such:

Oh, and on a side note, most all radioactive compounds decay into either PB-206 or PB-205 over enough time. The minute amounts that do over a given time period produce far more damaging radiation than the slow rate of alpha emission from U-238. But you already knew that, since you have a google chemistry degree.

I believe this was your claim.

Depleted Uranium contains very little radioactive uranium. "Depleted Uranium" is U-238 and lead, the material uranium 235 breaks down into

The above would be true if, and only if, you listed the entire decay series, which you did not. You simply stated that U decays to Pb, which it does not. Uranium, any isotope, decays to a thorium isotope. Lead is further down the line.

Again, you made an inaccurate statement, I called you on it. The thread was rather civil up until you shit on it with blatant inaccuracies.

I actually posted a rather elementary link for you. Please review.

http://www.ccnr.org/decay_U238.html

But again, here is a link illustrating such:

www.vivelecanada.ca/article.php/20040928204701877

You realize this link supports nearly every argument I made against your claims and my statements before you shit in that thread.

Flip flop much?

Here are a few illustrating how utterly dangerous alpha particles are:

www.arpansa.gov.au/basics/alpha.htm

Thanks for demonstrating your selective reading habits and enforcing the crux of my argument.

"Alpha-particle radiation is normally only a safety concern if the radioactive decay occurs in an atom that is already inside the body or inside a cell. Alpha-particle emitters are particularly dangerous if inhaled, ingested, or if they enter a wound."

hypertextbook.com/physics/modern/decay

Just serving them up on silver aren't you.

'Alpha particles cannot penetrate a piece of paper or even the thin layer of dead skin that coats us all. They will quickly find and join with two electrons to become an atom of helium before they can do much harm. Alpha particles are most dangerous, however, when inhaled. The inside of our lungs are moist and sticky and not as well coated with expendable cells as our exteriors are. Were a bit of alpha emitting debris to find its way into our lungs, chances are pretty good that it would stick there long enough to emit an energetic and massive nuclear projectile into our tissues, ionizing and dissociating molecules along the way. Such activities are one source of lung cancer. Workers who handle plutonium (a significant alpha emitter) are well aware of this hazard and take great care to keep it outside of their bodies at all times."

www.freespeech.com/index.php?/806/

Love the "parroting" the author does. He/she has as much understanding on the subject as you. It's not the alpha you have to worry about inhaling, it's the alpha emitting particles that are inhaled. What do you not get? If you had read the first two links, you should have (under normal comprehension levels) understood that.

www.llnl.gov/saer/saer01/01pdfs/mv-apD.pdf

Didn't bother with the PDF download. Assuming it's anything like your last three links ... thanks for the support.

www.hbcumi.cau.edu/tqp/451/ 451%20Module%20I/451-02/451-02.html

Page can't be found, tell me it may have actually supported your BS. Really ... if this were Christmas and I weren't Jewish (even one of those evil Zionist Jews) I'd feel so bad for you not getting anything despite your best efforts.

Note: Now, Tsa'ah I understand that these links are mostly government and university research pages, which very much contradict the Tsa'ah google degree you possess, but for the real facts, I'd suggest you read them.

As I pointed out, you posted 3 links that supported my argument and completely debunked your own.

Thanks for admitting ...
~You can't read
~you can't comprehend
~You have no clue

On a side note - Of course I used google to search for things I already knew. My scanner isn't that big and I really don't feel like expending the energy to dig out the college text books, scan, convert, upload ... and then prove you to be moronic. That's just too much energy. I'd rather put in the key words I know from paying attention in class rather than reading some conspiracy theories and GOP news letters.

Well, Wezas, maybe when she understands that this thread had nothing originally to do with any arguments between myself and someone else, until that someone else chose to take a potshot and bring it up, then perhaps she will understand that he has a habit of doing this regularly. I don't treat Zsa Zsa any differently from the way I treat Edine. The difference is, Edine CHOOSES not to start things up, and I mutually choose not to start anything either.

I havent taken any potshots at him or made any references to him in weeks. Zsa Zsa CHOSE to take the potshot, and so the pissing match ensues. I started a bit of a joke thread, he chose to escalate it, and I gladly complied. He picked the fight, I simply elected to fight back, and so the thread becomes a pissing match. And I will continue to fight back, because it is my right to do so. If Zsa Zsa can resist the temptation to pick fights, maybe he wouldnt get into so many arguments over nothing. Maybe he'd still have a job. Who knows?

I don't recall saying anything to or about him anywhere up to his original potshot. But yes, absolutely. Once he takes that potshot, I AM all too happy to engage in a pissing match, and so is he. He also knows this. So it is essentially his call when and where we go at it. He simply chose this thread and this time.

I don't recall anywhere where I place fault. I said he started it. Which he did. When I retaliated, he had the opportunity to be the "bigger man" as well. So don't even think about exoneration on his part. That the pissing match continued on and on has fault on both sides. That is started, however, lies ENTIRELY on him.

Let me make it clear for you. If you want to engage in a pissing contest you can make use of the lovely U2U feature we have here. You will NOT carry on doing it in thread after thread, it's as simple as that.

Also, in case of any confusion I am talking to both Tamral and Tsa'ah and anyone else who gets involved. If you don't like someone or have personal problems with them then start acting like an adult and deal with it. You could always meet up and compare dick sizes in private but you will not carry on doing it here.

This is why its so hard to understand policies sometimes.... one member of staff keeps starting the pissing matches, and another doesn't want them to happen.

And part of acting like an adult involves proactively avoiding situations in which this kind of thing can take place.

Part of acting like an adult also involves not letting other people walk over you.

If you want this to stop, I suggest you and other staff talk to Zsa Zsa about acting responsibly as well. Part of his own responsibility in being a staff member is to maintain control, and when he repeatedly inserts himself into situations that quickly escalate out of control, you get the picture. I'm not the only person to have called him a douchebag and an asshole. I'm not the only one who gets involved in pissing matches with him.

He has a habit of doing this. You have to come to accept that and deal with that as well. If he simply knew when to not start something, or even when to shut up, this thread never would have gone the way it did. Were he just an ordinary member here like myself, it would be one thing. That he continues to act in such a way as staff.... well, that's why I believe he has no job.

If he wants to take it to U2U's, I have no problem with that. But if he wants to take public potshots at people, then people will respond, some in passive fashion, some in extreme fashion. But so long as he does it, reactions will be made.
