Auction will go once, TWICE, SOLD! Updates will happen as close to daily as possible. Reasonable BO offers will be entertained.

an oversized flame-crested scythe
MB: 50 mil

SHOW: Carefully honed eahnor serves as the blade of this weapon, the curvature of which offers a sinister appearance, while the crest of the blade has been forged to mimic dancing flames. Damascened gold patterns catch the ambient light against the dark crimson metal, highlighting an irregular pattern causing the weapon to appear ablaze. A long haft of spiraled maoral with carefully placed silk-wrapped grips connects to the blade with thick sinew securing it in place. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.
There appears to be something written on it.
>read scythe
In the Common language, it reads:
Fiery Retribution

>anal my scy
>
You analyze your flame-crested scythe and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.

The creator has also provided the following information:
The flame-crested scythe is allowed the following type of flares:

Disruption
Airbolt

This is a special holy weapon. Once blessed, various spells may be cast at it to enable the allowed flares.

You can tell that the scythe is as light as it can get.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the flame-crested scythe in your hand...

It has a bonus of +23 from a normal scythe, and the way it vibrates in tune with your voice tells you that it requires skill in polearms to use effectively. It also has some type of special ability, but you can't tell what yet.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the flame-crested scythe in your hand...

The harmonics generated tell you that the scythe inflicts more fearsome wounds when it strikes.
The scythe resonates with your voice, indicating that it enhances its owner in the following ways:
It provides a boost of 5 to Polearm Weapons Ranks.
It provides a boost of 10 to Constitution Bonus.
It provides a boost of 10 to Physical Fitness Bonus.
The scythe looks to have almost innumerable charges remaining.

You sense that the flame-crested scythe will persist after its last enhancive charge has been expended.

[An oversized flame-crested scythe has a combat effectiveness rating of 10 points of Critical weighting. It has 0 of 30 services towards the next full rank of combat.]

It now has T1 thanks to Horibu wanting me to test 735 on it. In a workshop with no enhancives and not fixskilling, this was very difficult.

Some of us prefer to not stick to the status quo.

I have some questions, with HCW, and needing to bless it to get the ironwright, how many swings do you get before you need to rebless?

I have some questions, with HCW, and needing to bless it to get the ironwright, how many swings do you get before you need to rebless?

Obviously, the amount of swings will depend on several factors, however, I will try to do some testing today after work.

So, I tested it when I got home and this is what I got:

100 swings before I said enough testing.

The bless was done sans consecrate from a paladin. The cleric who blessed was level 70 with 96 ranks in 300 circle, 57 ranks in blessings.

And for posterity to see what it looks like when the air bolt cast flares:

You swing an oversized flame-crested scythe at a bog wight!
AS: +451 vs DS: +251 with AvD: +31 + d100 roll: +4 = +235
... and hit for 79 points of damage!
Knocked sideways several feet by blow to back.

A powerful vortex of air blasts from your flame-crested scythe, buffeting the the bog wight!
... 30 points of damage!
Hard strike to right arm breaking tendons and bone!

The fierce winds blow the the bog wight off its feet!
Roundtime: 5 sec.
Roundtime changed to 2 seconds.

I'm surprised this isn't getting bids. It's a great weapon at a great price

Lots of views. I'm not in a rush to sell. If someone wants to buy it, they will.

Added a T1 because Horibu wanted me to test it.

So for the flares do you just need to bless it or bless and then cast 118?

You need to bless it, then cast (for this one) either a spell like mana disruption (disruption flares) or hand of tonis (airbolt flares).

Eblade set to air flares might work for the airbolt (it works for void flares on ironwright)

How are there 2 +10 to CON bonus halberds up for sale in the same week?

To me, it looks like the other one is a copy of mine sans the weighting. Maybe T5/T6? I got mine about a year ago after watching it float on the PC for a bit.
