The strokes that took my grandmother were really probably the most horrifying medical condition I've been around... when someone was dying, and I've been around people with AIDs. The taking of a brilliant, vibrant person and the fading that ensued... I would not wish that on anyone. I hope your father does not have a series of them and I hope what he had is mild/recoverable.

Good news. The stroke was pretty mild and they expect to be realing him by Friday, the doctor's say. Could have been a lot worse, but thanks for the support.

I'm so glad your Dad is better! Did anyone watch ER the other night and what they can do with strokes now days? That story was amazing, brought tears to my eyes. My aunt had a massive stroke years ago and it was horrible.
