ok, asked this on the official boards and didn't get much of a response, so I'll give it a try here. Anyone know what effect weapon bonding would have on the coraesine weapons? Does it decrease the likelehood that it will strike you at all? It's supposed to form a spiritual bond between you and the weapon, so I think it might decrease the chance...but who knows?

I would be very surprised if it does, directly. For the attuning coraesine weapons, presumably you would become more attuned by the time you reach rank 5 abilities just because it takes awhile to reach rank 5 abilities. For the old style ones, it's just Inf and Dis (or some stats).

Not sure if anyone has replied to this in general yet, but how can I go about learning the bonding stuff?

.... duh. I was wondering if A) it's worth training in, and B) how many kills and such it takes to start having the weapon attuned to you.

Yes its worth it if you have a decent enough weapon you won't ever need to trade away for something better.

It takes a good while to work on, from what I've heard. Over 100k exp.

I'd say it's worth it. My brother, who plays a dwarven warrior, recently bonded with his fel-hafter. When he got double attack...it just got NASTY. He would aim for a leg and take off two. Or sometimes it would miss and just ram it in both of their eyes, killing them on the second hit.

Now if you have a claidhmore, you MUST get this skill. Double attacking with claidh = RETARDED!

My warrior has bond, and only has one more step to go before being fully bonded. You have to hunt off quite a bit of experience with that weapon before you get all the effects, but its quite nasty (in a good way) when you do.
Especially if you are a two hander like my chickie is
