Looking for some higher leveled wizards that are built towards using 519 and/or 917 and show me what it looks like towards cap. I have a ton of TPs and no idea what to put them into. Trying to decide on where to build my wizard from here. Thanks!

So 410 followed by a 917? Do you hunt using it quite a bit or still find that bolts are far better? And can I ask what made you go water over fire lore?
I have a level 70 wizard. 63 Wiz, 70 Major Elemental, 42 Minor Elemental. 68 ranks of water lore, 21 ranks of fire lore.
I find it much more efficient to bolt, but grabbed some snippets from a like level area. For what it's worth, I normally hunt Maaghara Labyrinth which is 5-8 levels above me.

Yeesh, 150. I thought I was going relatively hard with my (oh so close to having) 128
~90 PTPs to go for 303.

I'm strongly considering putting the extra spell ranks into Wizard vs MjE. Anyone know if 514(stone fist) works on flying creatures? I've had great success using 514 vs 410/512/912 as an opener.

Oddly, 917 works on flying creatures. I used it all the time on fire sprites with no opener. It worked very well to stun them, and bring them to the ground.

127 MjE / 75 MnE / 101 Wizard and both will be strong.
Immolate with fire lore isn't really any better than Immolate without fire lore anymore since the ELR nerf. You'll have a higher chance for 1-2 more hits, but it's not at all worth the TPs. With a 127/75/101 build it'll still be strong and only 13 short of max CS, and your 917 will still hit really hard too along with anything else that's based off of wizard ranks, and your 512 CS will be good too, which will help your 917 too plus shut down the target's maneuvers. Stuff that 917 struggles with will usually have a fairly low TD, so you can Immolate them or call wind + bolt. Stuff with a higher TD is usually squishy, so 917 will tear them apart.
I ran with a 202 fire lore immolate build for years. Now I have 20 fire lore for just Steam Bolt because fire lore is trash now.

I'm strongly considering putting the extra spell ranks into Wizard vs MjE. Anyone know if 514(stone fist) works on flying creatures? I've had great success using 514 vs 410/512/912 as an opener.
Unless you're really pushing hard for enchanting, 1x wizard is more than enough for a strong 917, and you still won't have any trouble with most 7x enchanting projects.
You don't want to gimp your MjE CS because you're still going to need Mana Leech if nothing else.

Yeah, it's complete trash. I literally can't think of a single time I've used it from 0-72 other than just messing around or for something like this. It's a waste of a spell slot.

Yes and it breaks my heart. 950 is killer but sad they made it so we can't really CS.

it still blows my fucking mind that neither weapon fire nor stone fist were addressed in the ELR. Both of those spells are pretty fucking close to being decent, or at least usable without being completely embarrassing.
not to mention that lol "buff" for standstorm. "now you can do 10 damage like, 5 seconds sooner!"

What's embarrassing is that you guys can still bolt harder, and potentially gain a CS higher than us without an enhancement... but we got enough to let us get along

The CS isn't the big deal....it is just that it isn't good for anything. Sorcerer's have great bolts. 705 and 713 are both great IMO. I use them on my capped decently enough. Only thing I hate is that curse of the star is stupid to keep up IMO.
Nothing kills like a sorcerer at cap. My wife's capped sorc destroys with 717 on almost everything at cap. For the undead 711 is insanely powerful. For stuff that are hard to ward then bolts or focused 720. They are so good. I'm not saying that bolts are super powerful, I am just saying the recent update made it so they really have no choice but to bolt only because they have no viable spells.
