Fire mages

So how would a sorcerer hunt fire mages without having them explode and cripple the caster.
Torment is not an option as thier TD is relatively high and you can guarantee there will be another 12 mages in the room you run into , using offensive stance.

Oh and the only reason I'm hunting the mages now is becouse Atreau slit Shimms throat on every occasion he saw him.
I was reduced to begging GM's for help and they did not get involved. Eventually I tried to fight him off with a 'warn' but he hid constantly and left the room after he killed Shimm.
After all that , I asked anyone to sanct the dais so I could at least try to talk him out of being stupid and maybe sneak in a warn but everyone was far too amused by the whole, Shimm getting murdered thing.
I couldnt hide any longer. . went to the dais and gave him what he wanted. I was so mad at recieving NO help for harrassment that I tried to murder him with 415. My elemental CS is slightly higher than my sorc CS but even than didnt get past his warding ability. After being left with no option I imploded him and made my character the most wanted person I've ever played.
It really was the only way I could have gotten round Crylone's (to name but one) helping him.
No more Illistim for me!

Now you know why I avoid Illistim and the dais if I can.. because most of the people there are jackasses.. or are so stuck in thier stupid cliques that they can't be bothered. Notice I said most.. I did meet a few nice people there. Also, another reason why I try to ignore most people where ever I am. Because you never know when someone is going to turn out to be a fucking asshole and kill you because they didn't like the way you said something or whatever. In fact it seems to be worse in older chars these days.

If you warned him and ignored him and he continued to try and interact with you then the GM's should have been involved. I know you hear it all the time but if you warn, report and assist every time it happens they can get it on record and eventually do something about it.

He CAN'T warn him.. the chickenshit keeps hidden.. you should be able to warn someone if they are in the same room regardless if you can see them or not.

I really don't need the fines or the time in jail. . plus the wonderful company there who mistake roleplaying for an excuse to random murder.

I dont think Mistomeer really needs to have the kind of heat on him that taking revenge on Atreau had on me.
If you protect Shimm you'll probably just have the rest of the dais join in.

I'm pretty sure that if you assist and explain that you want to, but have been unable to warn someone, the host will give you some advice and record that you intend to warn the character.

Also, Chica is always in Illistim, Shimmy should have asked her for help, you know she totally <3's him! Rift is pretty fun too, shim should do well on plane one and most people there are pretty cool. :)

Well, I hunted fire mages solo for a bit, and unless you torment, you will get retributed. Its a pain in the ass, but more exciting than the rift or Illistim. Id take up one of Mist's offers if you dont want to spend all your treasure on healing, or find a group. Its usually not hard to find a mage group.

Crylone is his alt, Shimm. The little(insert insult of choice here) likes to get himself spelled up, then to start shit. Believe me, he won't listen. Best bet is to warn interaction, hope that he keeps to it, and report/assist for every occasion that he doesn't. Its the only way that idiots like him are expunged from the game.

Come back to Illistim... Get to know Eider or have a little interaction with her and She will take you hunting. There has been plenty of occasions I've taken others out to hunt simply because I'm tired of hunting my own hunting grounds.

Also Eider will help out. Shame I haven't been around on the dais at the times of these harassments.

Wow... Crylone is Atreau?! that explains so much shit you dont even know... fucking assmonkey. Atreau kept giving Alarke shit and kept challenging him to a duel (only after being raised)... i finally accepted once and kicked his ass and he shut up for good. About a week later in the landing, Crylone slept me for not answering his question quickly enough... I then proceeded to steal his mana and stun him... this would explain my other thread as to wondering why Crylone was such a pile of shit towards me.

That was a little rant...sorry. Shimm, if you have any problems in illistim i dont mind going there and taking you hunting in the tower. If that means I need to deal with Atreau more, so be it, he learned to not start shit with me. If you come to the rift, as Mistomeer said, either of us would be happy to take you to plane 1 or 3, so you still have choices.
