Ambush question

Still a little new to being back
When u get the crit weighting bonus from hiding and ambushing with a non ranged weapon
Does it stack with the weighting on the weapon? And if it does can it go over the max of 50 (wonderfully)points total on the old scale or is it capped at a total of 50

Thats a good question, I would bet it is capped, as such I would not invest real heavily in crit weighting on a weapon; if it were me and I wanted to add weighting it would probably be damage since Simu said in the wiki a capped rogue that is fully trained gets 40-50 points from the ambush. I would say this only applies to your forever weapon though since a younger rogue would benefit from crit weighting. I doubt Simu will ever tell us for sure, but testing should be able to reveal some info at least.

Not capped, but note that you cannot score higher than a rank 9 crit (which can get randomized down to rank 5 even if you had infinity crit weighting).


If you want to be strategic about it, analyze your logs to see if you scored any rank 4 crits or less during a hunt. If you did, you could still use more crit weighting. If you did not, then more crit weighting isnt going to make any difference for you. Simple right? But you gotta go through the log if you want to know.
