I got Jake's assistant coach to let me into his office yesterday afternoon. I left an assortment of snacks on his desk (kisses, peanut M&Ms in a big jar, snickers, fire cheetos - don't ask me why he likes those - and doritos). I also shook a totally obnoxious amount of glitter on the desk and topped it off with a red glittery v-day garland. I hope his kids make fun of him.

Saturday after our big dinner date, I gave him a book I bought for him and he gave me VS pajamas. Yay!

Man, you all are so well behaved. I thought I'd tell what I got my hubby, but not after I saw how innocent your gifts were.

We both wrote poems in hand-made cards.

I suck at buying presents.

I didn't really DO anything. (Well, not yet anyway.) And, mine is sort of made by me. I bought a 256mb portable USB drive and loaded it with some pictures he otherwise isn't allowed to keep on his laptop per company policy. (He travels a lot for work. )

A beautiful flower arrangement showed up at the house. Along with a teddy bear and chocolates and a wire heart filled with multi colored rose petals.

I floofed the rose petals all over our bed. In the middle of the bed is a gaily wrapped package containing a new light I found for his light collection. I've got his favorite dinner ready to make and the table set with candles.

So we'll probably go to bed early, watch TV and be snoring before the Daily Show is over. I love being married!

At lunch today I went to a little Italian bakery that has a hot table. When I went to pay, the little old Italian lady that works the cash give me a lurid look, a wink, and a Happy Valentine's Day. It sent shivers down my spine.

I celebrated yesterday with a girl I sorta-know and have been wanting to date for a while.

I took her out for coffee and dinner, along with a dozen beautiful patterned roses and some chocolate she'd mentioned a few months ago.

It worked well. We're going out again on Friday.

We both got each other cards.

We went out to dinner at one of our favorite Italian places.

Candlelight dinner, all his favorite dishes. Very elegant tablecloth, perfect napkins, our best china and crystal for place settings.

As we sit down to dinner one of our cats decides that he wants out of the cat room. Little shit yowled all through our romantic meal. Mike finally decided to let him out for a bit. He took two steps outside the door, sat down, and started yowling again.

Amazing how much more romantic a cozy dinner for two can be when neither of you can stop laughing.

Sadly I didnt get to get my husband anything. The being half blind thing cause of pregnancy has seriously hindered my ability to get out and be sneaky. :(

That said HE did manage to get me out of the house and ply me with olive garden breadsticks. ( A pregnant womans dream! yum) Much more low key than previous years, but hey it was nice
