We are currently working on an upgrade to our accounting and inventory software. All this week, we had a guy in from a report writing software company. He was great to work with, and knew his shit, but he was quite stuffy and a typical IT nerd.

Today, as we're having a 10 person meeting in the board room, and he has his computer screen up on the overhead while explaining a couple of the complexities of the software. A flashing pop-up appears.

"INSECURE ABOUT YOUR PENIS LENGTH??!?!?!? "

How do you NOT laugh at this?

You don't have to surf porn sites to get crap like that. There are plenty of sites that sneak adware like that into your computer. Ad-aware and Spybot are your best friends.

Between zonealarm, adaware, and microsoft's beta version my systems are relatively free from things like that. I'm glad nothing like that happens when I'm doing presentations for clients.

Hhahahaha. We used to set up the VP's computers to accept msgr popups and send them crazy ass messages just to fuck with them and wait for them to come to IT and freak out for help.
