Oh brother (or oh sister so as not to be discriminate).

Those are more kosher laws and not something that Christians and Baptists follow nowadays anyway.

They're taking those scriptures WAY too seriously. They need to lighten up. Seriously. If they want to follow those ideals, that's fine, but don't throw God into the mix. That's just bad joojoo, and I wouldn't want to be the one to die and go to heaven and have God smack me upside the head for not having my own mind and will, and taking every word of the bible as the end-all-be-all of existance.

The laws put in place by Moses are the same laws people point to in the "gay is wrong" argument.

If you're not going to live by every law ... don't point to any law.

so are you guys just choosing to ignore the line at the bottom of the site that says it's a parody?

I've known about god hates shrimp for some time now.

I know it's a parody. It's a parody that points to the hypocrisy of Christians that preach hate ... all while not following the very laws they are pointing to.

Now, I'm certainly not saying that God/Jesus hates gays (or anyone else), and it does make me mad when people suggest that he does, but I'd say it's pretty obvious how much Jesus cared about dietary laws.

Of course, you think the Gospels are all made-up anyhow, so I suppose I might as well not bring them up.

Jesus was a Jew.

I think they did not like the Egyptians.

Egyptians <3 pork!

Pigs needs moist climate that don't exist in the land of Jews'n'Jesus.

Edited to Add: This is all opinion and in no way reflects what actually took place at that time and reflects on what joo do or not do eat.

As far as shellfish goes, I am not really all that sure!

If memory serves me correctly, Jesus ripped on the Pharisees for being overly zealous. I don't recall, I'm sure you'll point it out if he did, Jesus every saying anything about pork, shell fish, scavengers, carrion eaters, or bats. He was addressing, in the story, the sad state of cleanliness.

If a man is hungry, he's not overly concerned about how sterile his hands are or the cracks in the cookware.

And you're right. I think the bible, and torah, are works and stories of man. It's good fiction.

The point being Christians, not understanding of the fucking book they put so much faith in, should not be condemning gays, or anyone, with their only support being selective passages.

Sure, we hate gays ... but we sure do love shrimp, bacon, and catfish. See here; the bible says ... all gays will burn ... right after it tells us not to eat that other stuff. But that was meant for way back then, not now.

Yes I know it's a parody, however what they're mocking is NOT a parody where people actually pick and choose which scriptures to believe and swear by them.

As Tsa`ah said...
