Landing Debts - Why do they keep shaking me down?

Hi All,

I recently came back with the free 3 months thingy.

My character started in Icemule Trace, but I moved him and his locker to the Landing. Every couple of days when I try to access my locker, the game indicates that I need to pay my debts. So, I go to the Debt Collector and need to pay ~900 coins. This is getting pretty annoying.

How can I get this to stop?

if you are premium you shouldn't have a fee. no idea how it works for citizens but that may be part of it.

Pay ~900 coins to the debt collector in the correct town and it will stop.

I paid off my debt in icemule before I left.

Every time I pay the tax collector in the landing, I get access to my locker for a few days. This isn't a big deal, just annoying.

I mostly want to understand why this is happening.

You will accrue a fee every time you touch your locker.

To annoy you into going premium.

Join a CHE when you can to avoid having to use public lockers. Paupers does monthly inductions for anyone who shows up.
