MP3 editor?

Does anyone know of an easy to use MP3 editor? All I really want to do is take out a few seconds of song from a couple MP3s, so I don't need anything fancy. Preferrably free, but that doesn't really matter.

Convert it to wav or aiff, then pick up a demo of Sound Studio. Edit as needed, save our as wav or aiff, then convert to mp3.
