I think thats just stacked bonding boosts. Takes a lot of mstrike/zerking to stack em

Yeah they build up via mstrike then get 'released' on a regular attack.

It's not really supposed to do more than one per swing. You can have a lot stacked, so that your next number of swings will all have a double strike, but I think what is here is the Wall of Thorns bugging it out for some reason.
