That is the video.

So, everyone involved with that had their Air Force Careers basically fuckered. The officer swearing in was an O6 who was forced to retire at O5, the woman being sworn is was shit canned, the 1stSgt taking the video got his billet stripped and was sent for retraining.

I think they went a little overboard on the punishments here. I've seen a lot of fucking stupid ass reenlistment ceremonies.

A reenlistment ceremony is for the member reenlisting. It is one of the few ceremonies and individual will have during their time in. To ruin 3 careers over this is retarded, to say the least.

Not to mention they did an official, serious one prior to that and this second one was for her child.

My reenlistment ceremony was cooler anyways.

Seriously, the chain of command should stay the hell out of it. I'm not saying I like the dinosaur thing or think it's funny; but what the hell. Let her have her little ceremony and move on.

I guarantee people have done way more stupid stuff. Hell, I did a blue nose which was stupid, but not nearly as stupid as a shellback and those are cherished traditions. If anything they should just be happy that an NCO committed to give more years of life to the service

They're naval things. Blue Nose is when you cross the arctic circle on a ship and a Shellback is the equator. The Blue Nose was mostly just cold but Shell Backs can be really fucked up from what I've heard.
