Smells like spring

Here in Iowa the past couple days, we've been experiencing balmy temperatures in the mid-40s. After I left work, I was talking to one of my friends who lives in Kansas City but grew up in Louisiana. I mentioned that I was enjoying the weather because it smells like spring.

She laughed at me :sniffle: Is this just an Iowa thing? Just a midwest thing? Just a thing for people who have to endure the frozen tundra?

Although it's been really cold here, of late, I noticed yesterday that my pear trees have leaf buds. Does my heart good to see that. It's supposed to be up in the mid 60's by early next week. :)

I know that smell. Its like fresh air, a little moisture, with a hint of the blooms.

I don't know about the smell of spring, but here in Wisconsin, it's definatly starting to feel like spring.

However, it seems that the last few years once spring has hit, the weather has decided to turn to snow for one last time late in March, so hopefully this year that wont happen.

It's in the 40s. It's going to continue to be in the 40s. It's getting lighter, earlier every day. Indeed, spring is appraoching. And about fucking time.

We barely had any winter. :( One crummy (ok, it was pretty fucking good) storm, and now it's spring?

I do like how spring smells, though. :)

I do like Spring. The winter here has been expcially bad, but remember, it is still February, so uhh.. WE STILL GOT A LONG FUCKING WAYS 2 GO.

Springs rocks hardcore. Then the 90+ degree weather with humidity comes in and I bitch again. yayz!
