Sort've ironic all the fuss that gets made about the, "Oil for Food scandal." when we knew about it.

Not only did the US condone it. ExxonMobile made big profits from it.

Heh ... I read that as Kadafi at first, saw Fox tagged on to it and was going to slap this (http://www.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/0011/feature1/index.html) into the post.

Wait ... I just did.

Aside from that, let me ask ... Does this shock anyone at all? The article on Kadafi also has relevance as our government was/is aware of exports despite embargos.

Can't fault the man for tagging an intern, except that he was married.

For perjury ... he should in jail.

The again ... so should the fucks that wasted our tax dollars investigating a blow job(s).

I was just fucking with you.. your post made me chuckle.

And I blame the whole blow job thing squarly on the President's lap  Had he been forth-cuming.. there would be no need for the lengthy investigation. Instead, he stonewalled everything and ended up dragging the damn thing out. "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky" while banging his fist on the desk.. in front of the cameras still cracks me up.

I don't fault him for tagging it in the least. I do fault him for lying about it even after the DNA evidence was brought forward.

If any of us were married to Hillary we would be tagging interns.

Eh. She's an older woman in politics. I don't expect her to be attractive. I think a lot of the bashing goes on because the notion of an independent minded woman is so very horrifying to so many conservatives. Do I think she's a good Presidential candidate? Definitely not. Do I blame Bill Clinton for straying? Not really. Do I think she's as "horrifying" as she gets portrayed? Nah.

I think ExxonMobil backing Republicans so heavily and profiteering off the oil for food program is much more amusing.

*gasp* Are you insinuating a "conspiracy theory"? We all know that the government would never do such a thing. Psssh! And we all know just the mention of the phrase "conspiracy theory" means it's not true.

I  republikans.

Do yourself a favor and don't think. You were once again wrong.

Really, Park? What's horrifying about her then? Uhhh....uhhh....she wanted to do something about healthcare....she married a womanizer? (Lotsa Republican political wives do that). She doesn't toe the Republican line? Seriously, having read some of her writing, apart from the "takes a village" and healthcare stuff she comes across as a pretty conservative democrat.

The title of this thread should be “Look how bad everyone else is! We neocons aren’t that bad!”

So, who's voting Conservative next election?

If McCain wouldn't have gotten knuckled under so easily, I could've seen voting for him. He had a social consience.

I just wonder who the GOP will put up for the next election. I hope it is someone that is tolerable. Unfortunately, I see the Dems going with Hillary Clinton and I'd rather get skinned alive then have her a President.

Isn’t Jeb Bush the obvious choice?

Warriorbird

Or Neil Bush.

I think the Republicans will go with someone young and smooth sounding...Elizabeth Dole over Condoleeza Rice, if they do run a woman.

I hope the Democrats don't go with Hillary....then again, they should go with Barack Obama, but won't either. No idea who they will go for, maybe that Ethan fellow. They need a Southerner though.

I doubt it will be Rummy, though I wish Bush would have taken him up on this offer:

Rumsfeld twice offered to resign during Abu Ghraib scandal (http://www.cnn.com/2005/ALLPOLITICS/02/03/rumsfeld.resign/index.html)

McCain is the still the man I hope the Republicans go with. This country couldn't survive another Bush.

Condoleeza I wouldn't vote to become my maid never mind head of a national party

Obama is too inexperienced for 2008. Although he is a talented orator I think he is too left to lead the party. Additionally his energy plan pushes for an increase in ethanol in fuels ,which takes more fuel to produce and transport than it saves. Of course ethanol comes from corn, I guess you can't get become Senator of Illinois without supporting the ethanol/corn industry.

Collin Powell is now a free agent again. The Democrats should try to woo him. He would make a great leader of The Democratic party.
