I understand that the words that are used in loresinging is value, purpose, magic, and spell/ability. Is there something im missing in that because I just want to be 100% clear. Also, what is the message received to figure out if an item is imbeddible or crumbly? Thanks

And F.Y.I., I did search this site to find out more about loresinging but I need info in detail (statement made to avoid flamers)

There was a Forum in game recently that detailed all of this for bards. Basically a GM just sat and gave us all the cheats to everything, but in character. I logged it but, damnit, my Personal Computer is crashed. I bet Nilandia logged it. You should ask her.

Most certainly not *all* the cheats.

There really isn't all that much to loresinging anyway. Just takes a little bit of practice and singing to things to realize what means what.

I would like to have seen that log, still would.

Thats probably it. I was playing on my first bard ever and hadnt had him for very long so being a newb at the profession and confused about everything I was like OMG WOW HES TEACHING US UBAR MAGIC TRICKS!!!!

*I stand by my statement that you should get that log from someone. I think it could be very useful to just about any level bard player.

SP, I do have a question for you. Of the treasure found items like pins, statues and such - of the mage rechargeable that you've found do they show the usual message that you get when it's a mage rechargeable?

I do have a log of a loresinging seminar the Mentors did a while back. Taught me a lot that I didn't know about it, but didn't give all the "cheats."

Any interest?

I love bards. I went bard crazy a while back and made like 3 or so. :spaz:

Now I have a Phoen bard, Sheru bard, and a silly manbard who thinks hes Arkati's gift to Nalfein females. Hes fun.

Best part? RIPPING OFF TEH BON JOVI SONGS. kidding. sorta.

False.

If it's false, that's fine. It's what I've heard from a ton of people over a few years. Perhaps a more thorough, helpful answer, if it's not beyond you. :)

I don't know how much thorough I could possibly be. What you said was not (always) true and no such pattern exists. Except, of course, you loresing. Then you'll know.

While it works a lot of time with the licking, it is not 100% accurate.

In my experience, when singing for value, if it says: You can also tell that there is some type of metal in the structure Then it is non-crumbly. Example:

You sing:

"Sculpture, thy value I do seek
Answer me loud and don't be meek"

Roundtime: 8 sec.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the Lumnis sculpture in your hand, and you learn something about it...

This is a small item, under a pound. In your best estimation, it's worth about 2,400 silvers. You can also tell that there is some type of metal in the structure of the Lumnis sculpture.

The bolded line mean's it's non-crumbly.

If the line isn't there when you sing for value, then it is crumbly.

My two cents worth for a log as well.

On another note since I have my Bard back.

When I loresing the ONLY thing I use is Hand/Land but I have found that Hold/Sold.

Otherwise I have no logic to my loresongs. The rhymes are the only thing.

Songs like this.

Loresing Leather that I hold:Battles fought and won:Losing is never in your creed;Tell me a secret maybe just one.

And I will get information from that.

From the pitch of the vibration you determine that the purpose of the diamond is as a gem of some kind. As you sing, the diamond seems to resonate with your voice, and you feel it trying to draw power from you.

That means it an orb gem
