Thick and sturdy, the haft of the sledgehammer is fashioned of a gnarled branch that has been polished with lacquer and bound with dark brown suede at the grip. Large rolaren bands encircle an ivory hammer head, the thick plates riveted in place on the bone and tidily joined to the wooden haft. An enormous cloven foot, fitted with a rolaren shoe that is anchored with iron nails, forms the broad striking crown, while the opposite end is tightly wrapped in minotaur hides.
