Question for Master Fletchers

Egads!! My artisan skill in fletching is 499. It tooks a bit over two hours of fletching to get to 499 from 498. I have been fletching for most of today and ..... am still rank 499.

Do you recall how long, or how many containers full of arrows/bolts it took you to get that last rank?

I'd go hunting with my basically perfect arrows but I am too weighed down with my fletching supplies. ;)

on my last character, 500 took me 20 minutes. 498 - 499 took like 6 hours though.

It is. From what I've heard, you have a 500 sided die. If it rolls higher than your rank you get a rank. This becomes harder and harder as you gain ranks.

Rolling a 500 should catapault you to instant master, even if it’s your first forging ever because reasons.

Scribed into the shaft is a flitting butterfly beating its wings with a legend reading, "Butterflied!"
One duffel bag full of basically perfect arrows and more then ten hours later... still in the skill of fletching, you are a highly skilled laborer with 499 ranks.

I agree with Methais, Rolling a 500 should catapault you to instant master. Maybe I rolled a 500 to get to 499 and that roll ain't comin back.

It has take me anywhere from 30 minutes to multiple days to go from 499-500 on fletching (and other artisan skills). I know race and profession play a role in crafting/forging. Not sure if they do so on fletching as well.
