Guns VS Immigrants

Hello fine American friends!
I was reading your news and was very concerned for you and yours. We simply do not have the problems you do where I am from.
Could you please explain how your politicians can say that immigrants are similar to having a single poisonous jelly bean in 1000 but having more guns is the problem? If you are not feeling the safe enough to take a handful of jelly beans, why are you feeling the safe enough to give so many people guns?
